The journey on the Poison Spider Trail was only 14 miles, but we were out there most of the day. Between all the climbing we did, and all the walking on the descent, I averaged only 3.5 mph. Speed demon Casey clocked in at 5 mph for his average.
For lunch we sat outside at an Italian restaurant. When I returned from the restroom, Casey asked me if I knew where my Bikes Inc Mountain Bike Race Team jacket was. I told him it was in the van. He said he just saw a girl ride by on a bike wearing it. A quick text cleared things up. Suzanne from our team was also there in Moab. She joined us for some gelato and story swapping after lunch.
After our showers, I took another hike up the Moab Rim Trail to the top. These flowers were just one example of the beautiful floras that were everywhere. - Photo by Stan Ford
